LionDanceKids is a performance arts team using cultural lion dance to educate young Australians about Chinese Culture. Our team of teenagers and young adults are surrounded in a safe and supportive environment. We learn about respect for culture through team and personal development activities. With a history that can trace back its roots over 95 years, we have embodied the traditional art and has modernised our teaching approach to ensure all feel accepted and capable.We aim to develop young leaders and encourage them to express themselves freely.

Established Australian Leung Cheung Martial Arts Academy Located on Sydney Sussex Street in Chinatown, Grandmaster Leung Cheung opened his dojo to Australians from all walks of life
Established Traditional bone setting Clinic - Sydney Chinatown A Chinese Medicine practitioner treats bone fractures, concussions, sprains and joint dislocations through pulling, repositioning and aligning avoiding any invasive procedure.

Established LionDanceMe A company established to promote lion dance using Media and Education.
Established Lion Dance Kids Pty Ltd. Rebrand from LionDanceMe Founded by Master Johnny & Kwan LEUNG.

Leung Cheung (梁祥)

Great Grandmaster
Great Grandmaster Leung established Marital Arts School in Hong Kong since the 1950's. After migrating to Sydney in 1970's he started a school in Sydney's Chinatown. Great Grandmaster Leung was well known in the Chinese Community for his generosity and dedication to teaching youth. Great Grandmaster Leung passed away in 1997.

After studying under his father in Hong Kong he was sent to refine his skills with many renowned martial artists around China, Skilled in the various art forms including Weapons, Hand Forms, Lion & Dragon Dancing.
